International Committee Pop-Up: Global Mobility, Tax Implications

Please join us for the first event in the GAR International Committee Pop-Up Series, which aims to highlight international businesses and business owners in our local community. Each event will feature speakers and discussion topics related to the global real estate and the global business landscape.

We are thrilled to welcome Valensiya Tvedt, CPA, HR Compensation & Global Tax Director at Starwood Capital Group for her presentation: Global Mobility, Tax Implications. Valensiya will dive into the differences in taxation for a US resident vs. non-resident, and why that matters to international buyers. She will also discuss the benefits of tax planning, especially as it relates to owning foreign property as a US resident. Attendees will learn tactics and measures that can be taken to potentially save you and your international clients thousands of dollars in taxes based on their unique situations.
