CT REALTORS® FOUNDATION AWARDS $82,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS - 2024 RAYMOND F. GATES, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED
EAST HARTFORD, CT 8/28/24 – The Connecticut REALTORS ® Foundation awarded their 2024 Raymond F. Gates, Jr. Memorial Scholarship recipients. The Raymond F. Gates, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1976 in memory of Raymond F. Gates, Jr. following his tragic death in an automobile accident. Mr. Gates was the Executive Vice President of the Connecticut REALTORS®. Over the past 48 years, children of REALTORS ® have been awarded scholarships totaling more than $1,000,000.
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the Connecticut REALTORS® Foundation is proud to announce that 105 outstanding children of CT REALTORS® were selected to receive a total of $82,000 in scholarships.
Greenwich REALTORS® is proud to announce 8 local recipients were among the 105 selected. Amelia Chichy, daughter of REALTOR® Blazej Cichy with Abart Estate LLC in New York City, Emma Connolly, daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Kathryn Connolly with Houlihan Lawrence in Riverside, Paulina Finz, daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Noah Finz with Houlihan Lawrence in Greenwich, Shayna Jampole, daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Stefanie Lacoff with Berkshire Hathaway in Greenwich, Ruby Lamkin, daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Tracy Orrico with Coldwell Banker Realty in Greenwich, Kealan O’Meara, son of REALTOR-Associate® Cora Lynch-O'Meara with Brown Harris Stevens in Greenwich, Ilze Ulyanov, daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Tatiana Ulyanov with Coldwell Banker Realty in Greenwich, and Estella Zeppelin, daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Amy Zeppelin with Van Hoesen Realty Corp. in Greenwich.
Amelia Cichy graduated from Greenwich High School and major in Business or Eastern European Studies/International Relations at Villanova. Cichy would either like to work in real estate or in a government/policy job. She also completed a 4 week intern program through GHS at the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®. GAR thanks Amelia for her hard work and dedication. Amelia is the daughter of REALTOR® Blazej Cichy with Abart Estate LLC in New York City.
Emma Connolly, a recent graduate of Stamford High School, will major in Business and minor in Art in college. Connolly would like to own a bakery that becomes a social hub for members of the community. Emma is the daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Kathryn Connolly with Houlihan Lawrence in Riverside.
Paulina Finz is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Health Studies at the University of Richmond. Finz hopes to work as a social worker either in a school, non-profit or private practice. Paulina is the daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Noah Finz with Houlihan Lawrence in Greenwich.
Shayna Jampole graduated from Greenwich High School and study Psychology at Lafayette College. Jampole, inspired to help others, wants to study the brain and seek to decipher it while also going on to law school. Shayna is the daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Stefanie Lacoff with Berkshire Hathaway in Greenwich.
Ruby Lamkin is a recent graduate of Greenwich High School and will major in Elementary Education at the University of Delaware. Lamkin wants to teach in elementary school as well as special education hoping to use fun and engaging methods to make her students comfortable, safe and inspired. Ruby is the daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Tracy Orrico with Coldwell Banker Realty in Greenwich.
Kealan O’Meara graduated from Westhill High School majoring in Mechanical Engineering in college. O’Meara has a passion for car racing and wants to get involved in the engineering of motorsports. Kealan is the son of REALTOR-Associate® Cora Lynch-O'Meara with Brown Harris Stevens in Greenwich.
Ilze Ulyanov is a future alum of the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering and will attend Fordham University in the fall. Ulyanov is interested in a career in the sciences or medicine, possibly in pediatric neuroscience or developmental-behavioral pediatrics. Ilze is the daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Tatiana Ulyanov with Coldwell Banker Realty in Greenwich.
Estella Zeppelin, who graduated from Greenwich High School, will major in Psychology at UC San Diego. Zeppelin hopes to become a behavior analyst, for the FBI if possible. Estella is the daughter of REALTOR-Associate® Amy Zeppelin with Van Hoesen Realty Corp. in Greenwich.
