May 5, 2022 (Greenwich, CT) - The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of April 2022.
There were 62 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings decreased compared to April 2021 when there were 89 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home decreased to $2,153,500 from the median sales price in April 2021, which was $2,550,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 110 days; which was a decrease from 143 days in April 2021.
There were 19 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was a decrease from April 2021 when there were 31 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op increased to $900,000 from the median sales price in April 2021, which was $725,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 69; which was a decrease from 127 days in April 2021.
"April 2022 had sixty-two closings with a median sales price of $2,153,500. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending April with thirty sales and a median sales price of $3,437,500; a twelve percent increase from the median sales price in April 2021, which was $3,050,000. Condo/Co-Op sales had nineteen closings in April 2022 with a median sales price of $900,000; a twenty-four percent increase from the median sales price in April 2021, which was $725,000. The Dollar Volume for Single Family homes, April 2022 is $178,406,419. The Dollar Volume for Condo/Co-Op homes, April 2022 is $17,485,750”, stated Bryan Tunney, 2022 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
