May 20, 2021 (Greenwich, CT) - The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of April 2021.
There were 88 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings increased compared to April 2020 when there were 34 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home increased to $2,575,000 from the median sales price in April 2020, which was $1,733,500.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 143 days; which was a decrease from 300 days in April 2020.
There were 31 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was an increase from April 2020 when there were 11 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op decreased to $725,000 from the median sales price in April 2020, which was $940,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 127; which was a decrease from 162 days in April 2020.
"April 2021 had eighty-eight residential closings; a one-hundred fifty-eight percent increase from April 2020 when there were thirty-four closings. The median sale price was $2,575,000; a forty-eight percent increase from the median sale price in April 2020, which was $1,733,500. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending April with forty-four sales; a one-hundred fifty-eight percent increase from April 2020 when there were seventeen closings. The median sale price was $3,062,500. Condo/Co-Op sales had thirty-one closings in April 2021; a one-hundred fifty-eight percent increase from April 2020 when there were eleven closings.
