GREENWICH ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® DELIVERS PADDINGTON™ GIFTS TO CHILDREN IN LOCAL SHELTERS
The plush bears were “raised” to help local families remain in their homes.
Approximately 3,000 people across CT are homeless on any given night and nearly 1 in 5 of those are children. Paddington bears were “raised” as part of the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness’s 5th annual be homeful for the holidays campaign. For every $25 donated, the CT REALTORS® Care Foundation sponsored the gift of a Paddington bear for a child spending the holidays in a shelter with all money raised going to the be homeful fund. The be homeful fund provides emergency assistance that frontline workers can access to help local families remain in their homes rather than enter the shelter system. More than 1,000 Connecticut children and their families have remained housed thanks to be homeful funds.
This year, the Greenwich Association of REALTORS® delivered Paddington bears locally to Kids in Crisis and YMCA - Domestic Abuse Services.
