July 16, 2020 (Greenwich, CT) - The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of June 2020.
There were 76 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings increased compared to June 2019 when there were 60 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home increased to $2,927,500 from median sales price in June 2019, which was $1,900,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 330 days; which was an increase from 241 days in June 2019.
There were 16 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was a decrease from June 2019 when there were 17 closings. The median sale price for a condo/co-op increased to $698,750 from the median sales price in June 2019, which was $679,750.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 118; which was a decrease from 143 days in June 2019.
Pending sales as of 4:45pm Wednesday, July 15th for Single Family homes were 110 and 18 for Condo/Co-Op.
"June 2020 had seventy-six single family residential closings; a twenty-six percent increase from June 2019, which there were 60 closings. The median sale price was $2,927,500; a fifty-four percent increase from the median sale price in June 2019, which was $1,910,000. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending June with forty-one sales; a twenty percent increase from June 2019 when there were 34 closings. Greenwich had a median sale price of $3,100,000; a 19 percent increase from the median sale price in June 2019, which was $2,604,000. Condo/Co-Op sales had sixteen closings in June 2020, with a median sale price of $698,750" stated John McAtee, 2020 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
