March 19, 2020 (Greenwich, CT) – The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of February 2020.
There were 30 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings increased compared to February 2019 when there were 20 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home increased to $1,847,500 from median sales price in February 2019, which was $1,197,250.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 298 days; which was an increase from 242 days in February 2019.
There were 13 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was an increase from February 2019 when there were 9 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op remained the same at $775,000 from the median sales price in February 2019.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 192; which was a decrease from 371 days in February 2019.
Pending sales as of 4:45pm Wednesday, February 19th for Single Family homes were 35 and 15 for Condo/Co-Op.
“February 2020 had thirty single family residential closings; A 50% increase from February 2019 when there were twenty sales. The median sale price also saw a 54% increase to $1,847,500 from $1,197250 in February 2019. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending February with eighteen sales, with a median sale price of $1,847,500. Condo/Co-Op sales had thirteen closings in February 2020; A 44% increase from February 2019 when there were only nine closings, with a median sale price of $815,000” stated John McAtee, 2020 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
