February 20, 2020 (Greenwich, CT) – The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of January 2019.
There were 38 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings increased compared to January 2019 when there were 27 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home decreased to $1,910,000 from median sales price in January 2019, which was $2,000,000.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 212 days; which was a decrease from 241 days in January 2019.
There were 13 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was an increase from January 2019 when there were 12 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op increased to $815,000 from $688,750 the median sales price in January 2019.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 201; which was an increase from 150 days in January 2019.
Pending sales as of 4:45pm Wednesday, February 19th for Single Family homes were 32 and 10 for Condo/Co-Op.
January 2020 had thirty-eight single family residential closings; A 40% increase from January 2019 when there were twenty-seven sales and a median sale price of $1,910,000. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending January with twenty-five sales, with a median sale price of $1,895,000. Condo/Co-Op sales had thirteen closings in January 2020, with a median sale price of $815,000; A 18% increase from January 2019 when the median sale price was $688,750″, stated John McAtee, 2020 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
