December 19, 2019 (Greenwich, CT) – The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of November 2019.
There were 40 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings decreased compared to November 2018 when there were 46 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home decreased to $1,483,500 from median sales price in November 2018, which was $1,526,250.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 217 days; which was a decrease from 230 days in November 2018.
There were 13 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was a decrease from November 2018 when there were 14 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op decreased to $665,000 from $740,000 the median sales price in November 2018.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 143; which was an increase from 85 days in November 2018.
“November 2019 had forty single family residential closings and a median sale price of $1,483,500; A 2.8% decrease from November 2018. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending November with twenty-three sales; A twenty-one percent increase and a median price of $1,425,000. Old Greenwich was next in line with the most closings, ending the month with eight sales and median sale price of $2,120,000; A twenty-one percent increase from the median sales price in November 2018. Condo/Co-Op sales had thirteen closings in November 2019, with a median sale price of $665,000. Pending sales as of 4:45pm Wednesday, December 18th for Single Family homes were 32 and 11 for Condo/Co-Op” stated John McAtee, 2019 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
