October 17, 2019 (Greenwich, CT) – The Greenwich Association of REALTORS® announces the statistics for home sales in The Town of Greenwich, CT for the month of September 2019.
There were 46 single-family residential closings reported during this period according to figures provided by The Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc., the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Greenwich area.
The number of single-family residential closings decreased compared to September 2018 when there were 47 closings. The median sale price for a single-family home remained the same at $1,550,000 from median sales price in September 2018.
The average days on the market (DOM) for residential homes was 261 days; which was an increase from 167 days in September 2019.
There were 12 condo/co-op residential closings reported during this time period; which was an increase from September 2018 when there were 6 closings.
The median sale price for a condo/co-op decreased to $700,000 from $1,312,500 the median sales price in September 2018.
The average days on the market (DOM) for condo/co-op residential homes was 131; which remained the same from September 2018.
“September 2019 had forty-six closings and a median sale price of $1,550,000. Greenwich was the sector in town with the most closings, ending September with twenty-six sales and median price of $1,948,750; A 7% increase from September 2018. Old Greenwich was next in line with the most closings, ending the month with eleven sales and median sale price of $1,800,000; A seventeen perfect increase from September 2018. Condo/Co-Op sales had twelve closings in September 2019, with a median sale price of $700,000. Pending sales as of 4:45pm Wednesday, October 16th for Single Family homes were 39 and 11 for Condo/Co-Op” stated John McAtee, 2019 President of the Greenwich Association of REALTORS®.
